The Art of Giving

We mere mortals are always in the lookout for Getting something. It’s always what and where is my “Fayda”. Today, we choose to speak with choice of words to ensure that my message is delivered with the recipients not limited to one but many.

The intent is to reach out to the masses of various forms and shapes.  What is it that you expect in return?

In the era of acronyms and tweets it is:

  • Number of digital footprints
  • Number of “like” emojis
  • Number of shares and re-posts
  • Number of enquiries
  • Number of recommendations

The list is endless.

However, if we pause to think and introspect; did we check how much we “Give”

There is a feeling of satiety when you can feel the act of giving.

This giving may not always be the tangible act of benefit; but it will encompass the ecosystem that you breathe in.

It may begin with the act of smiling when you meet or greet; It may also be “giving” if you provide a listening ear; extended hand to hold and a shoulder to rest upon.

When the Giving is selfless with no whatsoever vested interest; you will be surprised to experience the feeling of Joy in abundance.

We are constrained by our own limitations. We fail to break-free the bondage of the “Me” and “Myself” and hence get often caught up in the vicious cycle of the “wants” and “desires”.

Many of us are devout followers of rituals and believe in the “Bhakti” that helps evolve. Amongst us are men and women whose mantra is in “Karma” the path of action and another group of beings who has set forth to find the purpose of life through the mode of enquiry through attainment of knowledge– “Gyana”

Whichever road we traverse; whichever path we follow in this journey from birth to death; the milestones are better experienced with simple act of “ Giving”

Let us unite to try “ Giving” back to our ecosystem to “ Build” a better Community.
